POS

What is a restaurant POS?

What a point of sale connected to tables, orders, and the register can solve.

It is not just a payment screen

A POS records and helps collect a sale. In a restaurant, it must also understand tables, orders, changes, and open bills. Without that context, the cashier would have to enter consumption again.

From the dining room to the register

The order is recorded during service and its amounts reach the point of sale. The cashier reviews the bill, confirms payment, and records the transaction.

POS and electronic tax documents

Recording the sale and issuing a tax document are related but distinct steps. Electronic issuance requires establishment configuration and an authorization status that must be checked.
